Department of Post-Harvest Physiology and Technology
Conducting research on post-harvest, processing, warehousing and storage activities, packaging and preparation of pistachio conversion products, apparatus and machinery used in pistachio industry, economic, social, and marketing research with emphasis on garden system management, agricultural financing practices, restructuring cooperatives, and strengthening agricultural NGOs, developing the infrastructure needed to make precision farming operational, resource management especially agricultural water resources, economic review of investment in agricultural and non-agricultural industries and services with the aim of employment creation, and finally reducing the product and income risk of pistachio growers are among the most important goals of this research department.
